Cernák Kennels is located in the middle of the beautiful State of Washington. From our place you can see both the picturesque Mt. Adams and the majestic Mt. Rainier.
We are Ed and Debbi Decker whose love of Borzoi started in 1982.

We have bred and shown the Borzoi in the breed ring, gaining championships for many years, as well as Schipperke’s for a shorter period of time. While we did enjoy the breed ring, over the past six years our focus has switched to “performance” venues with our dogs. Debbi has trained dogs since childhood, starting up a 4-H Club when she was only 14 years old and competing in her first AKC trial at age 17. So, it seems things have come full circle with regards to her training interests.

Four years ago we brought aboard Border Collies and have also added a Sheltie and a Miniature Poodle into the mix. They are involved in Agility, Rally, and we soon have plans of entering the Obedience ring once again after many, many years of not competing in that venue. The other activities we are involved in are Canine Freestyle (Dancing with Dogs), Performances for the Public, and we have also put on workshops for fun tricks and fancy moves for the past three years.

Because we wanted to be able to train our dogs all year long, in the Spring of 2009 we built a 3000 square foot training center. It was decided in the Fall of 2009 that we would begin offering training classes in our brand new “Cernák’s Canine Center!” The training techniques that are used are “Positive Reinforcement."

We have such a great time with our dogs and hope to share our EXCITEMENT with others, showing them how they can teach their dogs the most incredible things! Simply AMAZING!
